Winton House in Basingstoke

A historical landmark building in Basingstoke's upper town has changed ownership in recent weeks.

Winton House, a Grade II Listed building, dating from Georgian times, has been sold by IT Solutions Company, Panacea Limited, to Cranley's Chartered Accountants, for the sum of £1 million. The property offers 6,000 sq.ft. in total, together with 7 car spaces.

Panacea is a leading IT business solutions provider offering systems integration and outsourced IT services to the UK mid-market, employing more than 100 staff. A combination of rapid growth and the desire to consolidate their Support Operations Centre currently based in Hook, into the main corporate office, has led to a requirement for larger premises.

As part of the deal structured by local agents Baker Davidson Thomas, Panacea are being granted a period of time in which to relocate their operation. Richard Thomas at BDT confirmed that Panacea will remain within or very close to Basingstoke, but have a requirement to combine existing operations in Basingstoke and Hook into a single building of nearer 10,000-12,000 sq.ft.

Cranley's, owned by chartered accountant Colin Davison, will relocate to Winton House from premises in Crondall. They will occupy one of the four floors in the building with immediate effect, with the start up of a new business venture called "space2prosper", offering virtual office solutions to smaller start up and early development companies.

Mr Davison added ...

"Such companies will have investment offered up to £75,000 similar to a once in a lifetime Dragons Den opportunity".

The offices will be offered primarily on a serviced basis, to include the provision of financial and tax consultancy advice to subtenants requiring such expertise.
