Fineprint Install New Prinect Prepress Interface

Prinect Pre-Press Interface

Fineprint, Basingstoke litho printers, have recently invested in new technology to improve the speed and quality of delivery of litho printing at their factory in Houndmills, Basingstoke.

The Prinect Prepress Interface, from Heidelberg, links the existing print presses at Fineprint, with prepress workflow systems. This means that they can now transfer files, supplied by Customers or created in their own Design Studio, straight to the print presses from their computer pre-press facility. All the relevant settings are copied so colours become more accurate and the process, once manual, can be completed in much quicker times.

Mike Woolhouse, Managing Director of Fineprint, explains:

"In a nutshell, it's a software/hardware system that will save our customers money and speed up delivery times. At Fineprint, we have been keen to invest in the latest technology with the increased need of speed and cost savings from our customers."
