Team Escape Peddling for Make-A-Wish

12 September 2006

Team Escape from Basingstoke Design Agency, The Escape, recently got on their cycling gear for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK in a bid to raise £10,000 for the Camberley-based Children's Charity.

Comprised of Escape employees and friends, sixteen members completed the 35-mile circular route, on Sunday 10th September, as part of their attempt, which also includes raising awareness of Make-A-Wish through their website at www.teamescape.co.uk.

It wasn't without incident for the team with punctures, broken bikes and wrong turns but they all managed to complete the course in one piece. They even managed to produce first place with Gary Wynne coming in ahead of the field.

Craig Killick, Managing Director of The Escape and Team Leader, explained:

"Make-A-Wish is a great Charity and like most charities needs constant donations. This event enabled us to get together and have some fun. The ride was hard, but more importantly we are raising money and awareness that can help the charity continue to help children who deserve some happiness."
