DICOM Group's Subsidiary Kofax Helps Streamline IC for AncestryDPS's 6 Billion Record Database

Basingstoke based, DICOM Group plc, a global leader of Information Capture and Business Communications solutions, announced that its subsidiary Kofax has successfully installed its Ascent Capture® and INDICIUS® technology at AncestryDPS, a leading digital preservation service. The contract provided an overall solution for AncestryDPS to optimise the processing of over 9 million images per month.

AncestryDPS is part of the MyFamily.com, Inc. network of products and services that provides the tools to enable people to discover who they are and where they come from. Ancestry.com is the No. 1 online source for family history information, including the web's largest collection of historical records with over 6 billion names. AncestryDPS processes 100 thousand document pages per day including census records, birth/death records, military records, community directories, immigration records and even some as much as 300 years old.
